The enthusiasm for innovative and reliable industrial furnace systems has been based in Menden for 80 years. IVA SCHMETZ GmbH offers its customers from the aviation, medical technology, automotive industry, energy technology and many other areas a wide range of industrial furnaces. The range of services relating to our own and third-party systems goes far beyond the normal level of a mechanical engineering company. As the market leader for vacuum and atmosphere furnaces, an innovative, reliable and future-oriented solution is found for every heat treatment requirement.
From Menden to the world
At our headquarter in Menden, Germany, industrial furnaces are developed, designed and built on an area more than 15,000 square meters, from where they find their way to customers in Germany and all over the world. One key to the company's success lies in the continuous further development of plant technology in order to meet the customer requirements of tomorrow. Starting in the 1950s with wire annealing systems for the domestic wire industry, today, among other things, state-of-the-art hardening furnaces are produced for the production of gigamolds for the latest electric car models. The high vacuum systems in the product portfolio are used for additively manufactured components for medical technology or for the treatment of sensitive titanium materials in the aircraft industry, for example.
New systems & services
In addition to classic plant engineering, IVA SCHMETZ GmbH offers its customers an extraordinarily comprehensive range of services and began developing its own product for the predictive maintenance of its own systems in 2016 in addition to its classic services - predictive maintenance. This increases plant safety and productivity, which is why the system is now in use by various customers throughout Europe.
A strong group
Together with its two subsidiaries B.M.I. Fours lndustriels in France and Mahler GmbH in Plochingen, the IVA SCHMETZ Group is the right partner for all applications related to heat treatment. To further expand its presence in North America, a sales company, IVA Schmetz North America Corp., was founded in 2024. At the same time, production capacities were expanded at the Menden site.
